Jim brings a unique and varied blend of skills and experience to The Quarry and The Post Arm. He worked as a colour assistant at The Mill in the late 2000s, where he worked alongside some of the world’s best colourists in the most successful colour team of its era. His need for an artistic outlet originally drew Jim to the craft of Colour, and he absorbed so much working in this team of highly regarded Colour specialists and this now gives Jim a deep knowledge of this craft to take advantage of.

Jim also draws from a further eclectic mix of influences and inspirations. As a professional musician, he has toured internationally playing to five-figure audiences, performing at Glastonbury and many other major festivals around the world. He is also a talented artist. He specialised in graphic design academically and now finds an outlet through public murals and street typography.

Seamus O’Kane

Seamus is one of the industry’s most prolific and sought-after Colourists. With a career that began in a world of film acquisition, Seamus has helped pioneer the transition to data workflows. He has an innate understanding of client expectations, creative needs and the production demands of commercials.

Joining The Mill in 2004, he was instrumental to their data pipeline success and as Head of Colour saw the nurturing of talent as a prime objective alongside developing workflows and methods of operation. He has collaborated on some of the most awarded and iconic commercials of recent decades whilst also engaging in documentaries, features, music videos and short films. He is a permanent fixture in polls featuring the top colourists in the world.

Seamus’ work has won D&ADs, British Arrows, Kinsale Sharks, Cannes Lions, even an Oscar. His client roster includes some of the most acclaimed Directors, DOPs and Creatives in the business.
