Owen Oppenheimer
Owen Oppenheimer: Born in San Francisco, and raised in North London, Owen found his way into editing through the tried and tested route of dicking about at art school. Putting down his paintbrushes and picking up a camera to make parody Westerns and horror films, set him on a trajectory to becoming an editor – one who’s cut promos for the likes of David Bowie, Bjork and Beck.
In addition to music videos, Owen has cut an array of commercials and short-form films for globally recognised brands, and has recently ventured into long-form. Recently he’s edited several episodes of Brassic, Sky’s most successful comedy, The Lovers starring Johnny Flynn and Roisin Gallagher, and an episode of cult classic Inside No.9. This year he completed his second feature, Hostages, a dark comedy starring Charlotte Ritchie. Outside the cutting room, you’ll most likely find Owen beavering away at artwork in his studio, skirting the edges of the mosh pit at a gig, or trying to improve his terrible latte art on his home espresso machine.
